Keep your front desk in view from Slack
Connect one Slack channel to vFound and choose the events it should receive. The message names the event, venue and relevant item, while guest personal details stay out of the channel.
Slack and vFound, working together
- Alerts for new claims, guest messages, lost reports and pickup bookings.
- Daily counts for parcels due back and overdue equipment, plus checkroom capacity and visitor arrival alerts.
- A test button in vFound confirms that the channel link works before you rely on it.
Connect it in three clear steps
- 1
Create a Slack incoming webhook
In Slack, create or choose a Slack app, turn on Incoming Webhooks and add a webhook to the workspace. Pick the channel that should receive vFound alerts.
- 2
Paste the link in vFound
Open Settings, Connections, Slack. Paste the incoming webhook link and choose the events for that channel.
- 3
Send a test
Save the connection, then send a test from vFound. If Slack later removes or changes the webhook, replace the link in the same place.
Details before you connect
- The Slack webhook link is a secret. Only venue owners and managers can see or change it in vFound.
- vFound posts one-way alerts to the selected channel. It does not read Slack messages or request access to the rest of the workspace.
