Switching from Envoy to vFound Visitors
Hosts are the people visitors come to see, so the directory is what matters most when you move. Envoy exports it as a CSV file that vFound reads as it is.
Your visitor history stays with Envoy, so take a copy before your plan ends.

1. Export from Envoy Visitors
- In Envoy, open Employee directory, then All employees, and choose Export. Envoy says the CSV holds every record that has been in your location’s directory, including name, email and department.Source
- Envoy’s export also lists people who were deleted, with the time they were deleted. Remove those rows before you import.Source
2. Import into vFound Visitors
- In vFound, open People and choose More, then Import a CSV file. The same people list serves Parcels, Visitors and Equipment.
- vFound finds the columns by name in any order: a full name, or first and last name columns, plus email, room (or apartment, unit or department) and ID. Commas, semicolons and tabs all work.
- Check the count and the first name vFound shows, then choose Import. Someone already on the list with the same email is updated, not added twice. Up to 5,000 people go in at a time.
What comes with you
- Everyone in your directory, with their email and department, as the hosts visitors can name.
- Hosts are told by email when their visitor signs in.
What to keep a copy of
- Your visitor log. Envoy exports it from Visitors, Visitor log, Export as CSV or PDF, for the dates you choose.
- Signed documents and photos. Envoy says their links in the CSV expire after 24 hours, so download anything you need to keep straight away.

Can I import my Envoy visitor history into vFound?+
No. vFound imports your people, not past visits. Keep the CSV or PDF that Envoy exports from its visitor log for your records.
Does the Envoy export need any changes before import?+
Only to remove deleted people, which Envoy includes with their deletion time. vFound finds the name, email and department columns by name.
Can people sign themselves in without an iPad app?+
Yes. Visitors scan your QR sign and sign in on their own phone, or on a lobby tablet paired to vFound in the browser. Nothing is installed.
