Switching from CoatCheck to vFound Checkroom
A coat check starts empty every night, so there is usually nothing to move. The switch is setting up your stations and number ranges, then running the next night in vFound.

1. Export from CoatCheck
- CoatCheck’s public pages do not describe a data export. Finish your last night in CoatCheck so every item has gone home, and ask CoatCheck support if you need your past records.Source
2. Import into vFound Checkroom
- In vFound, open Checkroom, then Stations & events, and add each station with its ticket number range and capacity.
- Print numbered hanger tags, or use the numbers vFound gives each ticket. Guests keep their ticket on their own phone, with nothing to install.
- Choose how you take fees: none, cash, or your own card terminal, recorded against each ticket.

- Your stations, number ranges and fee choice, set up once in vFound.
What to keep a copy of
- Past nights and reports in CoatCheck, if you need them. Ask CoatCheck support for a copy.

Can guests pay in vFound?+
vFound records a fee taken in cash or on your own card terminal. It does not take guest payments online.
What happens to items left at closing?+
You close the night in vFound, and if you use vFound Lost & Found, the items you tick move there as found items.
