Switching from Cheqroom to vFound Equipment
vFound has a Cheqroom preset that reads the item fields Cheqroom documents, including name, category, location, barcode and purchase price.

1. Export from Cheqroom
2. Import into vFound Equipment
- In vFound, open Equipment and choose More, then Rules, service and import, then Import.
- Choose Cheqroom as the source, choose your CSV file (or paste it), then Preview. vFound shows how many rows it can read and the first ones in full.
- Choose Import. An item whose asset tag is already in vFound is updated, not added twice. Up to 5,000 items go in at a time, from a file under 1 MB.
What comes with you
- Each item with its name, category, location, barcode as the asset tag and purchase price as its value, where the file has them.
- People who use your equipment, through People, Import a CSV file.
What to keep a copy of
- Check-out history and reservations. vFound imports items, not past activity, so keep a Cheqroom report for your records.
Frequently asked questions
Does vFound read a Cheqroom barcode?+
Yes. The Cheqroom preset uses Barcode as the asset tag, so a later import with the same tag updates the item instead of adding it twice.
Can I print new labels?+
Yes. Every item gets a vFound QR label you can print, and existing asset tags and barcodes can still be scanned.
