AI that brings lost things home.
vFound AI works at every step of lost and found. It writes the listing from a photo, helps guests search in their own language or with a picture, suggests the likely match and checks each claim against your private record.
It is a teammate, not a replacement. vFound AI only suggests: a person on your team reviews every claim and decides every return. It never changes a claim or an item on its own, and it never identifies people from images.
At intake: one photo, a finished listing
Staff photograph a found item on any phone and, within seconds, vFound AI fills in the form. They check the suggestion, change anything they like and save. The listing reaches your guest website with search words in six languages already written.
Photo auto-fill
Title, category, colour, a description, tags and a value band from one photo. A brand is only suggested when the AI can actually read it on the item.
Privacy guard
Photos that show IDs, bank cards, screens with personal details and similar are kept staff-only automatically, while the item itself stays findable.
Keywords in six languages
Every item gets search words in English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch and Italian, so “cartera” and “portefeuille” both find the wallet.
Duplicate warnings
Logged the same umbrella twice across shifts? vFound AI flags the likely duplicate so your team can keep the earlier record or dismiss the warning.
Email photos in
Each venue has a private address. Team members email or forward photos of found items, and each one waits in Inventory, ready for auto-fill.
For guests: search the way people remember
People remember what they lost by sight and in their own words, often in their own language. vFound AI meets them there, on your venue’s own lost and found website.
Smart matching
When a guest reports a loss, vFound AI ranks likely matches from your found items and gives a one-line reason for each.
Search by photo
A guest can search with a photo of what they lost, or of one just like it. The photo is used for that search only and never stored.
Lost report chat
Guests describe the loss in their own words. vFound AI asks a few short questions and fills in the report for them to check and send.
A standing watch
If nothing matches yet, vFound AI keeps checking new items and emails the guest once when a likely match is logged.
For your team: a second pair of eyes on every claim
A photo helps someone recognize an item, but it does not prove ownership. vFound AI reads each claim against the details only your team can see, then hands your staff a clear suggestion and the next question to ask.
Claim check
Answers and proof photos compared with your private record: consistent, mixed, inconsistent or not enough detail, with red flags such as answers copied from the listing.
Translation
Guest messages and reports in another language are translated for your team, and staff can reply in the guest’s language.
Reply drafts
vFound AI drafts a reply to the guest. Your team edits it, adds anything it needs and sends it.
Weekly insights
A short weekly read of what was found, what went home and where things go missing, by email and on your dashboard.
Built to be trusted
AI in lost and found touches other people’s belongings and personal details, so vFound AI is designed around a few firm rules.
- AI suggests, your team decides. vFound AI never changes a claim or an item on its own.
- vFound AI never identifies people from images.
- Photos a guest uses to search are not stored, and photos of IDs and cards stay staff-only.
- Each venue can switch AI off at any time in Settings, and vFound keeps working as normal.
- vFound AI is included in Pro at the same price, with no per-photo or per-message charges.
- The AI providers vFound uses are named in our privacy information.
What vFound AI is not
It is not automatic ownership verification: a claim check is a suggestion for your staff, never a decision. It is not facial recognition. And it does not replace your venue’s own policy for holding, returning or disposing of items; it helps your team apply that policy faster and more consistently.
Frequently asked questions
What is AI lost and found software?+
AI lost and found software uses AI models to handle the repetitive parts of lost property: describing found items from photos, matching guest reports to items, translating messages and flagging claims that need a closer look. In vFound, every AI result is a suggestion that your team reviews before anything changes.
How accurate is vFound AI?+
vFound AI describes what it can see in the photo and only suggests a brand when it can read one on the item. Every auto-filled listing is shown to your staff to check before it is saved, and every claim check is a suggestion, so a person always confirms the result before it matters.
Does vFound AI decide who gets an item back?+
No. vFound AI can say whether a claim looks consistent with your private record and suggest a question to ask, but it never accepts, declines or closes a claim. A person on your team reviews each claim and decides whether to hand anything over.
What does vFound AI see?+
The item photos and details your team logs, and for guest features the report, photo, message or claim answers a guest sends. Photos used for guest photo search are not stored, and vFound AI never identifies people from images. The AI providers vFound uses are named in our privacy information.
Can we switch vFound AI off?+
Yes. An owner or manager can switch AI off for a venue at any time in Settings. vFound then works exactly as it does without AI: staff fill in item details themselves and guest searches use the words in each listing.
Is vFound AI included in the price?+
Yes. vFound AI is part of the Pro plan at no extra cost, with no per-photo or per-message charges. Starter does not include AI. Every Pro trial includes vFound AI for the full 14 days, with no card required.
